Card transaction accepted but they give you a 3% discount if paid with cash. Food was great! Service was quick. Does get quite busy on weekends. Honey Lemon with Aiyu Jelly- wasn't overly sweet and refreshing. Aiyu jelly adds a mild texture. Beef Stew Noodle- very rich, savory and some depth to it. Beef was extremely tender. Noodles had a great bouncy texture. Fried Pork Chop W/ Rice- batter was light and crispy, seasoned well. Pork was tender and seasoned well. Paired well with the pickled veggies and rice. Taiwanese Sausage- fresh sliced garlic adds a kick. Sausages were sweet and savory. Fried Red Pork- was paired with pickled cucumbers. Batter was light and crispy. A little on the fatty side than lean, was deep fried Chinese chashu. Popcorn Chicken- fresh fried basils adds just the right amount of flavor along with the seasoning powder they toss the chicken in. Chicken batter wasn't too thick, stayed crispy as we snacked on it during our meal. Hot Mochi was so good, peanut and black sesame powder topping wasn't too sweet. Be careful to not inhale!

Best beef noodle soup place near DTLA. Beef is tender, noodles are bouncy, soup is deep and spicy. Get some cold cucumber salad on the side to cut through the richness. 10/10

Family of two adults and two kids decides to go Corner Beef Noodle house to try their famous house beef noodle soup that some of my foodie friends all agreed on. It's a small restaurant run by two to three employees including the boss in the front. He greets us immediately, but service is slower because it's packed and super busy. We decided to have late lunch to avoid the lunch hour at 2pm. The restaurant looks very traditional eatery type. So for lunch we have house beef noodle soup with thick noodles and ordered additional thin noodles to taste the difference! The house beef noodle soup is savory, flagrant, with strong stock soup base. Next popcorn chicken is in a basket, it's greasy and well marinated and tastes so good. You can't do without Fried pork chop rice, it is one of signature Taiwanese dish. It's large and rice comes with minced pork and side dishes. It is fried perfectly but greasy too. Will be back yo try more dishes!

Came here to try out some of the rice dishes instead of the usual noodle dishes. First off prices have increased again so each dish will range from $16-$20 per dish, a pretty hefty price. I tried out these dishes this time around. Honey Lemon Aiju Jelly - What a delicious drink. It's rare to find Aiju jelly so seeing that this place has it is awesome. Not overly sweet but packed with flavors. I would go back just for this drink. (5/5) Taiwanese Sausage Rice - It's good, I like that it comes with tofu and some veggies as well. Sausage was flavored well and didn't think they were too salty or anything. (4/5) Fried Monascus Pork with Rice - The pork was crispy and super fried. It's greasy, probably too much for my liking. The pork pieces are also like 80% fat, 20% actual meat so it taste good but it's definitely not good for you. Personally I would avoid this dish next time around. (2/5) Glad I got to try out the rice dishes this time around especially knowing that this place specializes in beef noodle soup. They accept credit card now but they give 3% discount if you pay with cash. Was a bit pricey for what I got, spent about $38 before tax for 2 dishes and a drink.

This was my first time eating in the physical restaurant after ordering take out many times for my work place. I can definitely say that I was missing out a lot by not coming to this place. Beef noodle was flavorful though the Taiwanese sausage plate overall was a bit too salty for my liking. The dessert was really good, with the crushed black sesame and peanut. Servers were quick and were very helpful! They made sure everyone was doing alright as well. I can say that I can eat my beef noodle soup during the summer in peace. Thanks to their abundance of fans at max power inside. The space was not cramped and had tons of tables!

A nice little Taiwanese eatery, know for there soup noodles, but have rice dishes that needs to be mentioned. The popcorn chicken plate was very flavorful, crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Their fried pork chop plate is another good one. Dining area is somewhat small with about a dozen or so tables, clean. Our female waitress was awesome, very friendly, helpful and attentive. With good food and friendly service, a nice little restaurant to enjoy a tasty meal. 4 stars from me.

A legit taiwanese noodle spot with quick service. A broth like this will heal anyone with any hangover or sickness. jk, but it does taste really good and leave you satisfied. Popcorn chicken came out piping hot. Couldn't resist burning my mouth. The tripe was alright, wasn't my favorite but it was nice to snack on. For dessert, we had the mochi. The peanut and sesame sugar on the soft mochi was awesome. The restaurant isn't the biggest, but can hold a good amount of parties. So be prepared to wait if tables aren't cleaned. It shares a parking lot in a plaza but we were able to find parking easily.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday with my husband and friend the last time we were in SoCal. It wasn't too busy at all and we were seated right away. We decided to share two orders of their beef noodle soup with thick noodles, an order of popcorn chicken, and an order of fried pork chops. Each beef noodle soup order was a good amount of food. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had great texture. They also gave a large amount of beef! I wasn't a huge fan of the beef though -- some parts were too tough for me. The popcorn chicken and fried pork chop came out piping out! The flavor was great on them! The popcorn chicken were in bigger pieces than I would have liked but they were so juicy and tender! The fried pork chop was juicy as well! If you do get the pork chop, be sure to eat it while it's still hot. Once it cooled, the texture isn't as great anymore. Overall, definitely would recommend. Great flavors and big portions!

Seems like a family owned-operated Taiwanese spot located in a small strip mall in El Monte. I was on a beef noodle soup kick and this spot came up when searching for places. The service and vibe is warm and cozy. It was pretty empty when I first got there, but filled up pretty quickly as it was getting into prime dinner time. I was on my way home from work and stopped by this place. Not too far off the freeway. Of course I ordered the beef noodle soup (with the thick noodles). The beef and noodles were delicious. The broth was rich and tasty. Just a great, comforting bowl of beef noodle soup. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was a pretty big bowl so I wasn't able to order anything else, but definitely would be interested in trying some other items on the menu. Because it is in a strip mall, parking was plentiful, but it was a Friday night and the lot was pretty full.

Starting my next string of 100 reviews, Review#901: I was starving by the time I hit a second local mall today on Sunday Funday, May/19/24 supporting local biz. I recalled having visited 'Corner Beef Noodle House,' El Monte, CA., was when I was used to teaching preschools in Arcadia, CA. I had been here but some how I forgot to review then. Popcorn chicken rice wasn't my first choice, but they called me back and infomed me they ran out of Taiwanese Sausage rice. Lo and behold, Popcorn Chicken rice was just as juicy and delish. Staff was super friendly both times from on phone and in person. I enjoyed having Wall Art to read and see in the restroom!!!! More signs from the Universe for me. Service: 10/10 hands down, nailed to perfection. Food: 10/10. Given portion was large enough for 2 meals. Ambiance: 10/10. Extremely fitting wall art presented over half side of bathroom wall. Just what I needed to see. You had me at hello. Of course I'll be back! XoXo Becky
